Earlier this year, Radiant had the wonderful opportunity to partner with Jeuveau to film a commercial and create a marketing campaign. It was our first time filming a commercial and a great highlight of this year.
How do you film a commercial?
After a couple of emails, and a phone call walking us through what filming day would be like, the day was set, and our filming day quickly approached.
The crew arrived to Radiant East Meadow on a cloudy Monday morning. The rain threatened to dampen some of our director’s ideas for the commercial, so we started inside Radiant’s office. While the filming crew set up and turned our East Meadow Radiant into a beautiful set with perfect lighting, our staff (and celebrities of the day) took their turns getting camera-ready under the hands of Cassidy (@keymakeupartist).
Once everyone was ready the magic began.
The filming of this commercial was unique from any other commercial for Medical Spas that our producer had seen in that it had only two staff members, one of which was the founder and sole aesthetic injector. Thus, our filming was divided into footage of the product (Juevaeu), a patient coming in for their wrinkle treatment, that same patient seeing their results, our Aesthetic Injector and Founder, and lastly, footage of our staff.
While most of the footage was just that without any audio, our most challenging bit came when it was time to record audio and answer questions. The spotlight, of course was on Andres, who was prompted to record some scripted lines and then talk about how he founded Radiant, what inspires him to work in aesthetics, and what makes Radiant the special and unique medical spa it is. Following the bulk of the recording, we continued with filming in other parts of the building to showcase the office and our supporting staff. Once the rain had let, our director’s vision for a shot of Radiant’s sole aesthetic injector coming in to work, was able to come true, and wrap our filming day to a close. It was an unforgettable experience to film and work with such experienced people. After our day of filming the only thing left to do was wait for the editors to do their magic.
They did magic indeed! The final cut of our commercial was more than we could have imagined. Now the commercial is out for New Yorker’s to watch on select channels. Let us know if you’ve seen the Radiant commercial!
